Welcome to our Post!! We are nestled in a lovely residential neighborhood and you'll know you've arrived when you see our red, white, and blue Nike Missile static display next to our flag pole! Post 180 was founded in, Vienna, Virginia in 1937. Our post is officially American Legion Dyer-Gunnell Post 180 and is Vienna's oldest Community Service organization. Today, we have members from every military service, including Space Force! Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community.          *** 2026 DUES *** 
If dues have not been paid by February 1, the member is suspended
From The American Legion Officers Guide and Manual of Ceremonies (2025 Edition, page 39):
“American Legion membership is annual, the Legion year being from January 1 to December 31. Dues are payable October 20 in advance. If dues are not paid by January 1 of each calendar year, the member becomes delinquent. If dues have not been paid by February 1, the member is suspended, but nevertheless a member with no privilege except that of reinstatement by post vote and payment of dues. Dues not being paid, such membership continues for five months, to June 30, at which time the member is dropped from the roll by constitutional mandate and membership forfeited.”

- SAL here - note dues are $40 adults, $20 dual members, & $15 for junior members 17 and under.
- Auxiliary Members herenote dues are $40 adults; $6 for junior members 17 and under.
